RECIPES AND MORE

Although we advocate eating our produce raw, we understand that some of you may prefer to enjoy our produce freshly cooked. And every week we showcase some creative ways to prepare our produce.

THIS WEEK'S RECIPE

Eggplant steak

Ingredients:

2 Eggplants

 Salt & Pepper

Extra virgin olive oil 3 tbsp

Sauce:

White wine 50mL. Butter 10g Lemon juice 1 tsp Directions:

1.Cut off stem of the eggplant. Cut eggplant lengthwise into 1-2 cm slices with its skin.

2.Put them in water to remove the harsh taste. Drain the water and wipe off water with a paper towel.

3.Heat olive oil and put the pieces of eggplant in a pan.

4.Sprinkle on salt and pepper to taste. Heat them over medium flame. Be sure to heat both sides. Place them on a serving plate.

5.Mix ingredients for the sauce; white wine, butter, and lemon juice in a pan and heat over low flame.

6.Put sauce over the grilled eggplant and add your preferred vegetables such as mini-tomato and basil as relish. * When you use green or white eggplant, you can enjoy a melt-in-your-mouth taste. With purple eggplant, you will get a juicy taste.
